New Delhi, September 19, 2019 – Nikon India Pvt. Ltd., 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo, exhibits the outstanding work of the international contest in New Delhi at AIFACS Gallery, today. This year the Nikon Photo contest was a tremendous success with 3 winners from India itself. The judges’ panel included prestigious names such as Neville Brody, CEO, Brody Associates; Carol Guzy, Photojournalist and Nikon Ambassador and Jill Furmanovsky, CEO Rockarchive.com, among others.
Started in the year 1969, this international contest is an initiative towards photographers to express themselves to the world. The aim of the Nikon Photo Contest is to support the growth of the global community of people who are able to influence others through the common language of photography, irrespective of age or level of photographic experience. This year the contest was themed around ‘Change’ and the participants were expected to capture the significance of change which varies for every individual.
Elaborating on the announcement of Nikon photo contest winners, Mr. Sajjan Kumar, Managing Director, Nikon India, said “It is overwhelming to see how these passionate photographers express themselves so beautifully through these pictures. All the winners showcased the spirit through the language of photography, irrespective of age or level of photographic experience, and we are proud to recognize their efforts.”

Nikon Photo Contest is an international photo contest with a significant history behind it. The goal of the Contest is to provide an opportunity for photographers around the world to communicate and to enrich photographic culture for professionals and amateurs alike. To date, more than 410,000 photographers have submitted over 1,620,000 photographic works to the Contest, making it a truly international event.
