New Delhi, January 6, 2015 – Nikon India, the 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo, leader in imaging technology is proud to announce that the Nikon 1 V3 will soon be compatible with the Camera Control Pro 2. The compatibility with the Nikon remote control software will be made available in May this year, alongside the development of a remote control software development kit (SDK) in June.
The new firmware for the Nikon 1 V3 harnesses the innovative characteristics of the Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lens to achieve a silent and compact remote camera control. The firmware support is a response to a photographer’s needs in their respective field of photography, while utilizing the wide array of impressive features in the agile and light camera.
With Camera Control Pro 2, photographers will have a remote control over the camera’s advanced function, including and not limited to; capturing and saving of the best moments with high-speed continuous shooting of a series of scenes exhibiting movement, shooting high-quality still images by simply pressing the shutter-release button while movies are being recorded, storing multiple images captured using high-speed continuous shooting immediately before and after the shutter-release button is fully pressed, and even movie recording functions such as Slow Motion.
In addition to remote control competence, the Camera Control Pro 2 will also facilitate a remote control over lens zooming when the 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-ZOOM lens is used. The availability of a remote control SDK for companies that develop software for business applications will also provide expansion opportunities of the practical usage of the Nikon 1 V3 in systems, image processing, academic fields, and more.
