Exceeding expectations.” as the new vision to create a new Nikon.
Upholding the banner of “trustworthiness and creativity“, Nikon celebrated it’s 90th anniversary in July 2007. Founded in 1917 as Nippon Kōgaku; the company was renamed in 1988 as Nikon Corporation.Quite truly, Nikon has evolved as an institution of creativity. Starting with the F mount cameras in 1959, to the Titanium Cameras.Be it space,(Nikon Camera is used by NASA) to the first underwater Nikonos Camera, Nikons technology and innovation is unquestionable.

Nikon India was incorporated on 01 May 2007, a 100 % subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo. Over the years Nikon had established a strong base in India through a local distributor. Now, Nikon India will further reinforce this excellent platform to enhance Nikon's brand image and brand promise through various activities and programs.
Nikon India will distribute, market, service and repair the complete range of Nikon imaging products and service and repair of Industrial product. These include all available cameras, lenses as well as microscopes and technical measuring instruments.
