We urge you to take good care of your equipment and always be sure to follow all instructions carefully. If you do, the equipment will serve you long and well.

Nikon Service Warranty (Local Warranty)

1) Your Nikon digital product is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one full year from the date of purchase. This warranty card is valid only in the country where you purchased this product.

2) To validate this warranty card, you are requested to fill in all necessary information (owner’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and date of purchase) on the front. This warranty card together with the original purchase receipt must be presented to the Nikon authorized service facility before any repair can be made under warranty.

3) All costs, including mail, transportation, insurance and other incidental charges in relation to repair work, are at your expense. All other claims of any nature are not covered.

4) THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OF THE FOLLOWINGS:

• DEFECTS OR MALFUNCTIONS CAUSED BY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM IMPROPER CARE, MISUSE OR ABUSE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR OPERATION OF THIS PRODUCT CONTRARY TO THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE OWNER’S MANUAL.

• DAMAGE OR DEFECT CAUSED BY ACCIDENT, SAND, WATER OR BATTERY LEAKAGE.

• DAMAGE CAUSED DURING TRANSPORTATION OR MAIL.

• DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANY MODIFICATION OR SERVICING PERFORMED BY PERSON(S) OTHER THAN NIKON AUTHORIZED SERVICE FACILITY.

• ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING BATTERIES, CHARGER, AC ADAPTOR, AND OTHER CONSUMABLES.

• ANY ELECTRONIC DATA LOSS DUE TO MALFUNCTIONING OR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT.

• ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT.

5) This warranty card is issued only at the time of original purchase. It is nontransferable and will not be re-issued.

Nikon Worldwide Service Warranty

1) Your Nikon digital product is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one full year from the date of purchase.

3) All costs, including mail, transportation, insurance and other incidental charges in relation to repair work, are at your expense. All other claims of any nature are not covered.

4) THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OF THE FOLLOWINGS:

• DAMAGE OR DEFECT CAUSED BY ACCIDENT, SAND, WATER OR BATTERY LEAKAGE.

• DAMAGE CAUSED DURING TRANSPORTATION OR MAIL.

• DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANY MODIFICATION OR SERVICING PERFORMED BY PERSON(S) OTHER THAN NIKON AUTHORIZED SERVICE FACILITY.

• ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING BATTERIES, CHARGER, AC ADAPTOR AND OTHER CONSUMABLES.

• ANY ELECTRONIC DATA LOSS DUE TO MALFUNCTIONING OR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT.

• ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT.

5) This warranty card is issued only at the time of original purchase. It is nontransferable and will not be re-issued.

Nikon India Extended Service Warranty (Local Warranty)

(Applicable on purchase of Nikon Imaging Products on or before 31^st March 2010)

1) Nikon India 1 year extended warranty begins at the expiration of the 1 year Nikon Service Warranty.

2) Nikon India 1 year extended warranty is not offered on all Nikon products. This warranty is only applicable for digital cameras and applicable only for manufacturing defect.

3) Nikon India 1 year extended warranty is available only for products sold to Nikon Authorized Dealers or Re-sellers by Nikon India Pvt. Ltd. Grey market products are not eligible for coverage by Nikon India 1 year extended warranty.

4) Warranty will be limited only to repairs and adjustments for the second year in India only.

5) Spare parts cost and other costs including mail, transportation, insurance and other incidental charges in relation to repair work, are at your expense. All other claims of any nature are to be borne and paid by the customer.

6) THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OF THE FOLLOWINGS:

• DAMAGE OR DEFECT CAUSED BY ACCIDENT, SAND, WATER OR BATTERY LEAKAGE.

• DAMAGE CAUSED DURING TRANSPORTATION OR MAIL.

• DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANY MODIFICATION OR SERVICING PERFORMED BY PERSON(S) OTHER THAN NIKON AUTHORIZED SERVICE FACILITY.

• ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING BATTERIES, CHARGER, AC ADAPTOR AND OTHER CONSUMABLES.

• ANY ELECTRONIC DATA LOSS DUE TO MALFUNCTIONING OR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT.

• ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT.

Nikon India New Extended Service Warranty (Local Warranty)

(Applicable on purchase of Nikon Imaging Products on or after 1^st April 2010)

1) Nikon India 1 year extended warranty begins at the expiration of the 1 year Nikon Service Warranty. Warranty confirmation would be done through serial number tracking system / Original warranty card / Invoice copy or all, subject to the satisfaction of Nikon India / Nikon authorized service centre.

2) Same terms and conditions provided in manufacturer warranty will be applicable for the extended one year warranty period as well.

4) Warranty will be limited to repairs and adjustment for the 2nd year and will be provided in India only.

5) Other costs including mail, transportation, insurance and other incidental charges in relation to repair work, are at your expense. All other claims of any nature are to be borne and paid by the customer.

6) THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OF THE FOLLOWINGS:

Accessories like batteries, charger, USB cable, AV cable, Adapters, strap, etc. are not covered under warranty.
Damage caused due to accident, sand, water, dust, fungus, battery leakage, etc are not covered under warranty.
Warranty on free gifts is as per the terms of their respective manufactures, and this warranty does not extend to such gifts.
Warranty does not cover the replacement of Product.
Warranty does not cover any special, consequential or incidental damages arising in way due to malfunction of the Product such as loss of photography, loss of data, use, profits, or costs and expenses, etc.

7) Within warranty period, Nikon India authorized service centers will repair or replace the defective parts, to rectify the problem. Nikon India reserves the right to use the re-engineered parts with performance parameter equivalent to those of new part for any service performed under Nikon India warranty, if required. The replaced part shall thereafter become the property of Nikon India. Warranty shall thereafter continue only for the unexpired period of the original period.

8) If the Product is not repairable due to some technical reason and the same model is not available to replace, replacement will be provided with the updated model of closest specification, the warranty period and term will remain same as of original product.
