“Nikon Image Space” App Renewed for Release

Nikon’s smart device app for online photo sharing, compatible for both iOS and Android devices, is renewed with optimized operations for both operating systems

New Delhi, March 12, 2015: Nikon India, 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation Tokyo, is pleased to announce that the “Nikon Image Space” smart device app, Nikon’s online photo sharing service, is now renewed to be more informative and user friendly.

With this renewal, the flat design has been incorporated for iOS (including iPad) and Android™ apps, alongside an optimization to the operability of each operating system. Images can also be viewed in larger size with a newly introduced design, and exclusion of superfluous decorations or embellishments.

In addition to Grid and Map views, both of which makes for easy image viewing, a new Flow view that displays images in larger size, and enables browsing with smooth vertical scrolling has been adopted for more intuitive operation with a smart device. This improved browser function can also be used to browse images stored on the smart device by simply installing the app.

Further responding to the users’ suggestions, the renewed app comes with improved utility and operability, including background downloading and uploading. For iPad users, an exclusive function made available only for the device is the image comparison feature.
Launched in January 2013, “Nikon Image Space”, termed to refer to a hub for image-sharing, is a free photo sharing service primarily intended for users of Nikon digital cameras, but open to anyone who enjoys taking photos or recording movies. The service will continuously be updated with new functions, offering innovative means to enjoying digital photos and movies.
